FRAGMENTS OF REALITY
In 2023, during Ken Nwadiogbu’s time at the Royal College of Art, he began exploring new directions in his practice.
This period marked a shift. He started to pull apart ideas and memories, reassembling them into new forms that felt both personal and universal. That exploration led to Fragments of Reality, a study of identity in motion, seen through fractured images and layered stories.
TRANSIT
2025
Nordic Hotel collaborates with Ken Nwadiogbu on a site-specific installation housed within their newly dedicated space, The Ken Nwadiogbu Room. This immersive room invites guests not just to stay, but to live within art.
This installation is titled In Transit, inspired by Ken’s long-standing fascination with escalators. For him, escalators hold a quiet, symbolic power: no matter how chaotic life becomes, they offer a moment of pause. They carry you forward gently, asking nothing of you but stillness.
Ken invites every lodger to consider their own journey, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and to embrace this space as a point of rest, growth, and transformation.
A GIFT OF HOPE
2024
In collaboration with Hospital Rooms and the NHS, Ken Nwadiogbu created A Gift of Hope, a vibrant mural for the family room at Hellesdon Hospital, a mental health facility in the UK. The work features a radiant yellow hand offering an orange lotus flower. This is a symbol of healing and new beginnings.
As part of the project, Ken also led therapeutic art workshops with patients to foster self-expression and joy. The entire experience reaffirms our belief in art’s capacity to bring light into spaces often marked by struggle.
THE ABSOLUTE CROWN
2024
Absolut Vodka teamed up with Ken Nwadiogbu, in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation, to complete the other half of Warhol's iconic 1985 painting, Absolut Blue, which was originally created for the Swedish brand.
In Ken's contribution, titled The Absolute Crown, the bottle is portrayed as "wearing" a crown at its base, symbolizing strength and royalty. The crown, depicted as the foundation on which the bottle stands, makes a bold statement about kingship and power, transforming the iconic bottle into a symbol of leadership and authority.
This collaboration was showcased at the Absolut x Warhol: The Other Half exhibition, held at Saatchi Gallery in London from October 4 to 6, 2024, where Ken's work was displayed alongside some of Warhol’s original paintings, creating a unique dialogue between the two artists' visions.
GANT JACKET
2023
GANT partnered with Ken Nwadiogbu, in collaboration with Hypebeast, to reimagine the classic varsity jacket, transforming this iconic symbol of American sportswear into wearable works of art.
For the Blank Canvas project, Ken drew inspiration from his Nigerian heritage, merging elements of his cultural roots with a contemporary twist.
The collaboration debuted with a successful launch event at 180 Corner in London on September 18, 2023, showcasing Ken's innovative approach and further cementing his role in blending fashion with fine art.
